Deemed as the Kings of PPop, SB19, the 5-member Filipino boy band released their comeback MV teaser on March 7.
The single which is entitled “What?” has garnered more than 300k views on YouTube 24 hours after it premiered and is currently at #6 ON TRENDING. The PPop flag-bearer is set to come back on March 9.
Although SB19 is the first Filipino group trained by a Korean entertainment company, ShowBT, they humbly refuse to be associated with KPOP. Aside from the fact that the members are all Filipinos by birth and by blood, they also aim to promote Filipino culture through their craft.
The group — composed of Pablo (also known as Sejun), Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin — debuted on October 26, 2018. They have released their first full album, Get in the Zone, on July 31, 2020.
Aside from the number of endorsements and awards they have recently won, one of their greatest achievements so far is being the first Southeast Asian act to enter multiple charts on US Billboard.
They are a mainstay on the US Billboard Social 50, landing on the #6 spot on the 2020’s year-end chart.
