Philippine Remake of A Moment to Remember

Two of the country’s biggest stars, Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards, to do a Philippine remake of A Moment to Remember.

Remember the 2004 Korean film of the same title starring Jung Woo-Sung and Son Ye-Jin? Here’s the original movie trailer:

A Moment to Remember is inspired by the 2001 Japanese drama series Pure Soul. It is a touching love story about a woman suffering from early-onset Alzheimer’s disease and her husband who chooses to stay by her side even though she doesn’t remember him.

The movie won the Best Adapted Screenplay at the 42nd Grand Bell Awards. Jung Woo-Sung was nominated for Best Actor at the 13th Chunsa Film Art Awards, while Son Ye-Jin bagged the Best Actress in a Foreign Film award at the 15th China Golden Rooster and the 2006 Hundred Flowers Film Festival.

Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards have started filming the Philippine remake of A Moment to Remember, playing the roles originally done by two of the best actors in Hallyu.

Bea Alonzo, 33, is a popular Filipino actress and model. She played the protagonist’s role in the Filipino adaptation of the TV sitcom Yo Soy Betty La Fea in 2008. Alonzo is among Asia’s biggest stars poised for international stardom.

Alden Richards, 29, is a known Filipino actor, model, TV host, recording artist, ambassador, businessman, and entrepreneur. In 2019, he won the Seoul International Drama Award in South Korea. He has been dubbed “Asia’s Multimedia Star” since.

After the news broke about the Philippine remake of A Moment to Remember, fans couldn’t stop gushing about it.
