It has been reported that Lee Do Hyun received an offer to a lead role in an upcoming drama. The actor will be paired with Im Soo Jung in a new drama entitled “Melancholia.” This has been confirmed by someone from his agency, Yue Hua Entertainment.
Although there is still no confirmation if he will accept the role since, according to his agency, they are still reviewing the offer.
“Melancholia” is said to revolve around a horrific scandal that involves the students and teachers of a reputable private high school in Gangnam. The drama will tackle sexual and corruption scandals involving students and teachers of the said school.
If Lee Do Hyun accepts the project, he will play the role of “Baek Seung Yoo,” a voluntary outsider who takes pictures with his DSLR. His character is described as someone who is quite blasé.
His character is said to be notably smart as well, being someone who appeared on a quiz program at the age of five. He shocked the viewers by solving math problems that even college students from a prestigious university could not.
As of the moment, Lee Do Hyun is busy filming his current drama, “Youth of May.” The drama is set in May 1980, a historical time for South Korea. The drama will be aired on KBS2 this coming May 2121.
Lee Do Hyun made his acting debut in 2017, when he got a part in “Prison Playbook.” He appeared in several dramas after that but has become even more notable in his roles in “Sweet Home,” “Hotel del Luna,” and “18 Again.” His fans are very happy that he gets offer after offer.
