The KPop girl group’s power vocal is scheduled to release her first solo album. Yes, Blackpink member Rosé is set to drop her first solo album ‘-R-’ on March 12. The album contains two tracks, “On The Ground” and “Gone.”
The MV teaser for the first single, “On The Ground,” has garnered 13M views on YouTube two days after it was released.
Another MV teaser was dropped and gained 6.7M views 21 hours after it goes live.
The official trailer has also gained 2.6M views 18 hours after it was posted.
Last March 9, YG Entertainment announced that Rosé’s upcoming album already exceeds 400k pre-orders. This makes her the first female solo artist in Korea to hold such a record.
Blackpink’s first full album, “THE ALBUM,” also holds the record for being the first KPop girl group album to have sold the most pre-ordered copies. The said album was able to sell almost 1M copies even before it was officially released.
